The havoc of COVID 19 pandemic, has created a situation panic among the health care professionals and general population worldwide. Virus being droplet infection increased vulnerability dental professionals, affecting clinical practice. patient reluctant to visit dentist due fear cross contamination in office reduced flow certain extent. Various measures have been suggested by authorities avoid transmission virus office. One such measure is use preprocedural rinse. This acts as need hour reduce from patients prevent clinics. formulation mouthwashes are used for rinsing. most common chlorhexidine, povidone-iodine, cetypyridinium chloride hydrogen peroxide. antimicrobial property these also found be effective against severe acute respiratory syndrome corona 2. These ingredients mouth washes temporarily neutralize load amount time saliva other oral fluids. Thus rinse can risk an adjunct with air filters PPE kits prevention protection infection.
